Civil War Lantern Tours
This year
the Worthington Historical Society will trade in ghosts for a cast of Civil War figures at the annual lantern tours in celebration of the Civil War Sesquicentennial. Join us on a walking tour
around the historic town where you will meet Worthington notables including General Roswell Ripley, Colonel Thomas Worthington and John H Snouffer among others. The tour will include first person
reenactments and participants will get to partake in the recruitment and training process that Worthington enlistees would have gone through one hundred and fifty years ago in this same location.
Tours are appropriate for ages 13 and older and will depart from the Old Rectory, 50 E. New England Ave.
Walking shoes are essential and umbrellas are recommended if rain is in the forecast and will take place rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable.
Tours will leave the Old Rectory at 7:30 pm and 9 pm. Tickets are $10 each and
will be available at the Shop at the Old Rectory or Fritzy Jacobs (635 High St.) ON SALE NOW!
